Up for sale we have a 1959 Chevrolet El Camino. This is one of the
nicest ones you'll ever see. It took 3 years to complete the
project, and the result was well worth the wait. In the paragraphs
to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior,
interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to
tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the El Camino. When you look
down the sides you'll see laser straight panels that flow near
perfectly from front to rear. All the gaps are even and symmetrical
and the fit of all the panels is some of the best we've ever see on
a '59. The body is covered in a custom Sunburst Orange Paint that's
been buffed and polished to a mirror finish that's slick as a
ribbon. Inside the bed is painted body color and looks just as
amazing. Looking at the Chrome and stainless you are sure to be
impressed as every piece is in excellent condition from the billet
grill to the tail lights. The glass in this Chevy was removed at
the time of the resto and new seals and window felts were
installed. As you can see all the glass is also in excellent
condition. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a custom set
of 18" and 20" Billet Specialty wheels with new tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of the '59. On the inside, it
was done by Ciadella Interiors from Tempe, AZ. When you open the
doors, you'll see new weather stripping has been installed. It
features a '59 pattern on the bench seat that has been upgraded
with Ultra Leather. The door panels are also done in Leather and
complement the bench seat perfectly. New carpet was also installed
along with a new headliner that has matching visors. The dash is
painted in body color with white face gauges from Classic
Instruments. Also, it has the Ididit Tilt column and Billet
Steering Wheel. The AC vents are under the dash to keep from
cutting it. Behind the seat you'll see a custom sound bar has been
installed.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of the Chevrolet. Under the
hood it's powered by a 348 Block that has been converted to a
stroker motor with 409 Crank and Eagle Pistons. It's dressed with a
Polished Tri Power Intake with Rochester Carbs. Also, its fitted
with MSD Ignition along with a Polished Alternator and AC
Compressor. To go along with the Air Condition this El Camino also
has Power Brakes with front disc and rear drum. Under the front it
has been upgraded to the 605 Box with Power Steering along with new
Ball Joints and Control arm Bushings. The engine is mated to the
Muncie Four Speed Trans and Stock Style Rear End with 3.36 gears.
To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator. For exhaust, it has
manifolds with dual pipes and Thrush Turbo Mufflers. Looking
closely underneath this '59 you will see it was a frame off
restoration and that everything appears rock solid!
