Vehicle Description
You stopped on this 1951 Chevrolet Styleline for the exact same
reason why we fell in love with it, too. There was a lot invested
to give this the perfect mixture of period-correct restoration and
all the right upgrades. So while the cherry red paint grabbed you
attention, the hot V8 and cold A/C interior are why you want to
take it home.
This two-door sedan makes a great first impression, and that all
starts with the paint. The red is actually borrowed from a more
modern Corvette shade. And when combined with the white, the
two-tone strikes that perfect balance of providing a bold hue with
a hint of sophistication. All of this is particularly true because
there has been a lot of investment in a modern professional
application of this color. And while this car has a better luster
than what Chevy could provide in '51, this is the kind of bright
presentation these classics have always had when you pictured them
in your mind. Rivaling the paint for shine is the brightwork. It
surrounds every piece of glass, artfully accents the whole profile,
outlines the lower rear fender, and surrounds every exterior light.
Plus, we know you've especially noticed it on the extended rear
bumper with Continental kit. When all of this is so complete and
mirror-like, you realize that you're looking at a labor of love.
And you'll even love going over the details - from the correct wide
Chevy badge up front, to the sun visor. And that upgrade to iconic
Cragar SS wheels is a nice little hint at the other sporty upgrades
within.
Soft leather bucket seats and a center console were never available
from Chevy, and so anyone who opens the door will be instantly
impressed with this pricey and comfortable upgrade. The tan leather
here coordinates nicely with the carpeting, headliner, and custom
door panels to create a nice uniform presentation. As you slip
behind the custom steering wheel, the Corvette red on the dash goes
nicely with this car's upgraded theme. The same goes for the
upgraded Dolphin full gauge package. And because this is meant to
be a comfortable cruiser that you can share with family and
friends, you also get great features like a modern AM/FM/CD stereo
and R134a air conditioning to stay cool while looking cool.
Open the hood and you can see where some serious money was spent.
That's a 350 cubic-inch crate V8, fully dressed with the bright
Edelbrock air toper, valve covers, alternator, and pulleys. Plus,
this performance upgrade has been enhanced further with an
Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock performance intake.
There's plenty of reliable power churning out of this motor to make
the dual exhaust howl if you really want, but there is also another
side to this custom car. The mufflers can keep this car somewhat
mellow, and instead just enjoy the evening cruising in your
air-conditioned coupe while the TH350 three-speed automatic ticks
away the gears with ease. There's also an aluminum radiator to keep
your Chevy cool even in traffic. This is a power steering car, and
up front there's an independent suspension with a sway bar and disc
brakes. So this one could be a Friday night brawler if you like,
but it's quite comfortable just being you all-day Sunday cruiser,
too.
This one comes with a full photos file and maintenance records, so
you can take others on its transformation into such a cool custom
cruiser. Complete cars like this rarely come up for sale, so don't
miss out. Call today!!!
