This long and sleek fastback is powered by a 302 V8 motor with automatic transmission. We were told that this sensationally nice running 302 is the original motor. This beauty is Black on Red with bucket seats and center console. If you were wondering, yes that is the original colors for this super rare car. It is also the original bucket seats and console. We have a Marti Report on this car, and it shows that it is 1 of only 42 of these cars built with that color and trim combination in 1968. It also has the original Argent style steel wheels that only 461 of these cars came with. This great, late 60s muscle car is an iconic piece of Detroit history. This is one of the longest roofline fastbacks ever built, and it was only available for 2 years. In 1968, the Ford Fairlaine and the ford Torino fastback was the same body car. These cars are getting very hard to find. This 1968 hot rod was purchased from a barn in Washington State, where it had been in storage since 1992. This car was 100% original when we purchased it. We went thru the car to make sure that it is running as it should. We added new carpet, headliner, and had the seats recovered. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks. The body was very straight when we purchased it, so we had only minor body work done, and then had it painted back to its original color. This is its first and only repaint job for this Vehicle. This my friends is one bad ass car when you see it going down the road. Everything about this car is intimidating, from its Black exterior, to its long lines and dual exhaust.
