NOTE:
The 302 V-8 was the base motor for the 1973 Mach 1 with the 351C V-8 as an optional upgrade. This car appears to be built as a Mach 1 including fastback body, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, high back front seats and long center console with clock. However, Ford used A 5 in the 4th character of the VIN indicating a regular fastback. When the prior owner painted it, he put Mach 1 decals on it, possibly thinking it was A true Mach 1. BTW, the current 302 V-8 has more HP than the 351C had in 1973 because Ford had detuned it to 265HP by then.
