Vehicle Description
Looking sharp and running in top form, this 1991 Chevrolet Camaro
Z/28 is an outstanding representative of Chevy's iconic muscle car
in its third-generation form - a form that's been enhanced by the
aesthetic upgrades its Z/28 status brings. We see our share of low
mileage classics from time to time, but this Camaro takes that term
to an extreme.
When third generation Camaros like this '91 were released, their
design borrowed very little from previous generations, and their
sharply angled windshields - a styling cue that not only looked
great when introduced but also increased aerodynamic efficiency -
actually broke a long-standing internal GM rule that had limited
their slope to 60 degrees. The year that this car rolled out, Chevy
gave Z/28s a pretty substantial updating, equipping them with a new
ground effects package up front and a new high-rise spoiler in
back, to go along with their fog lights and special edition wheels
and these features are well-represented on this car. The black
paint draped over its dynamic form is in good shape and gives the
car a suitably aggressive appearance.
Inside the doors you'll find a gray cloth interior that's in
surprisingly clean condition, showing unusually little wear for a
car that's 30 years old, but then again, few cars are as lightly
traveled as this one. Everything in the cockpit presents very
nicely - you rarely come across a center console that appears
anywhere near as fresh as this one, and the dash area and door
panels look pretty much as they did when this Camaro first rolled
off the line. There's also an impressive level of originality on
display - the aftermarket steering wheel seems to be about the only
deviation from stock configuration. Comfort and convenience
features include power steering, air conditioning that's blowing
cold and strong, a tilt wheel, and a rear window defogger. At the
center of the dash, the AM/FM/cassette stereo is still in great
working order, so you'll have an opportunity to pull your
collection out of storage.
This muscle car classic is powered by a fuel injected 5.7-liter V8
that's another beneficiary of its light usage. It's running strong
and smooth and sits in a well-maintained engine compartment,
teaming with 4-speed automatic 700R4 transmission with an overdrive
gear to keep revs down on the highway. And, if you put a high
premium on handling ability, this car has you covered. A number of
wisely chosen upgrades have been added to equip it with outstanding
agility, including a Detroit Speed sway bar kit in both front and
back, front tubular control arms, Detroit Speed trailing arms and
more. With these top tier components on board, this Camaro offers a
stellar performance-centric driving experience. And, when it's time
to come to a stop, you'll find power disc brakes at all four
corners. This special edition Chevy rolls on a set of 16" Z/28
wheels wrapped with Firestone Firehawk tires that still have tread
to offer.
Impressively well-equipped and road ready, this 1991 Chevrolet
Camaro Z/28 has miles and miles of future enjoyment to provide its
next lucky owner. Call today!
