Outstanding Show Quality 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible
New to our Fairfield showroom is this simply outstanding 1967
Pontiac GTO 2 Door Convertible with breathtaking Mariners Turquoise
exterior paint and a black vinyl interior. This investment-grade
classic has been completely restored in the summer of 2016 with a
400 cid V-8 engine, a 4-speed manual transmission, and many of the
original accessories throughout. With outstanding curb appeal and
head turning performance, this classic would be an amazing addition
to any serious collection.
A true 242677' original PHS documented 67 GTO arrived at our our
Fairfield Showroom from our most reliable and prolific consignor.
Like all his cars, this one is very well sorted out. Offered for
sale for health reasons. (His wife is threatening to kill him if he
doesn't down size his collection).
Let's start off by saying this is not a numbers matching' car. In
other words, it doesn't have the original engine or transmission
because both have been upgraded. This is a great Friday night show
and driver car. It has a Pontiac Big Block 400 that has been
professionally rebuilt, bored, stroked and blue printed to 461
cubic inches. With the nice polished Edelbrock Hi-Rise Performer,
big four barrel carb and high dollar internals the motor makes 450+
HP. Combined with a smooth shifting Hurst linkage Four Speed manual
transmission, this car is a great stop light tire smoker or long
distance highway cruiser. This car has serious get up and go,
light them up in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear. It sounds awesome and
screams No Prius in the fast lane'. As we said, this car is well
sorted out. Featuring dual, thermostatically actuated high volume
electric fans mounted on a beautiful, polished aluminum radiator,
they keep this baby running cool. Updated A/C keeps the driver and
passengers cool too. The engine compartment, as evidenced by all
the pictures, is an awesome sight, lots of chrome and polished
parts. Out front you will find expensive, high visibility H4
Halogen lights. The car also has five nearly perfect 15'' Rally II
rims with correct polished stainless trim rings. Yes, five
including the perfectly mounted spare. And five nearly new or
barely used famous BF Goodrich RWL Radial T/A tires. In short this
car has a lot of really nice, expensive add ons that would add up
to a lot of money.
Completely Restored Over the Summer of 2016
The current owner of this 1967 Pontiac GTO Roadster informs us that
he purchased it earlier this year from the 3nd lifetime owner
shortly after it underwent a very high-level rotisserie
restoration. In person, this classic muscle car borders on
flawless with exceptional body lines, beautiful paint and a
like-new interior. The engine compartment also stands out since it
comes very near what most collectors would call perfection- you
simply do not find classics of this caliber on the open market very
often.
Additionally, the hair-raising performance from this 1967 Pontiac
GTO Convertible is truly second to none. It drives like a new
vehicle on the open road with awesome acceleration and not a single
squeak, rattle or vibration to be heard. The powerful V-8 engine
roars to life when prompted and it shifts effortlessly, plus the
handling and suspension are also excellent. The 400 cubic inch V-8
really performs with the Edlebrock Intake Manifold and Holley
Carburetor. This would border on being considered a #2 classic
throughout.
Outstanding Performance and Sensational Curb Appeal
Overall, this 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible is one of the most
outstanding examples that we've seen in recent years and you're
going to fall in love once you see it in person. If you're looking
for a near flawless show quality example that will only continue to
appreciate in the future, then you must come to see this one in
person. You won't find a nicer example nationwide at the current
asking price. For more information about this impressive vehicle,
