Vehicle Description
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 For Sale- Nut and Bolt Restoration,
Judged 981/1000 @ Nationals LMC is proud to offer for sale this
1969 Camaro Z28. Camaro was introduced in 1967 to attack the
Mustang success. The first-generation Camaro lasted until this 1969
model year when it again paced the 69 Indianapolis 500. For 1969,
Camaro had all-new sheet metal except the hood and trunk lid giving
the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned
with a heavy "V" can't and deeply inset headlights. New door skins,
rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a
much lower, wider, more aggressive look. The wheel wells were
flattened with sculptured feature lines flowing off towards the
rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots ahead of the
rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated
with the body color grille surround and round parking lights
positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were
wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. The interior
was updated with square gauges and an optional tachometer. Camaro
had two important packages available on any model. The Rally Sport
or RS was an appearance package that included hidden headlights.
Perhaps the most special and iconic was the Z28 performance package
that reflected Chevrolet's entry in the SCCA Trans-Am race series.
Z28 included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-Speed Manual Transmission,
Power Disc Brakes, and two wide bold stripes down the hood and
decklid. The styling, considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the
ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most popular, would serve
for the 1969 model year only. This stunning 1969 Camaro Z28 was
built in the Norwood, Ohio plant and comes finished in its factory
delivered Code 76 Daytona Yellow exterior. The car has been
concours restored to a show winning quality and judged by Camaro
aficionado Jerry MacNeish. This Camaro is powered by a Numbers
Matching 302 that produces 290hp at 5800 rpm. The high-revving 302
is backed by the Numbers Matching Code M21 4-Speed Wide Ratio
Transmission mated to a factory Hurst Shifter and put to the ground
with a Code G80 Posi-traction Rear Axle having a 3.73 Ratio.
Performance is delivered to the raised white lettered Goodyear's
mounted on Rallye Wheels which adds to the stylish competition
look. Inside this beautiful Z28, is trim Code 711 Black Vinyl
Bucket Seat Interior as noted on the cowl tag which is one of the
most stylish cockpits of the muscle era. Other factory options
include N40 power steering, D55 center console, D80 spoiler
equipment, U63 am radio. Having been judged and scrutinized by the
nation's most knowledgeable camaro experts at the Nationals, it
went on the score an amazing 981/1000. The 1969 Camaro Z28 was
one of greatest performing rides of the classic muscle car era, and
showed what Chevrolet could create to go racing. With its racing
heritage and pedigree, the Camaro Z28 will always be one of the
most desirable Camaros built. With its authenticity verified by
Jerry MacNeish, this concours level 1969 Camaro Z28 is the perfect
