For Sale: 1970 Pontiac GTO (The Judge) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

For sale from my private collection, this beautiful 1970 GTO Judge is a true investment grade classic muscle car, representing the peak of the original "Musclecar Wars" between the big three. This vehicle has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration using NOS parts whenever possible. You often hear the term "Numbers Matching" used to describe classic cars for sale. In this case, it's much more than the original engine. Yes, this Judge is sporting the "born with" engine and Muncie 4-speed transmission, both having the partial VIN present, and when the body was off the frame, the vin stamping was present on the driver-side frame rail, furthermore, the Ram-Air III engine has the correct numbered distributor and Quadrajet carburetor, both specific to this engine. Three of the original wheels are present, the other two have date codes within weeks of the originals. The optional Formula steering wheel has the correct "IC" code. These, as well as other details such as the correct NOS exhaust tips, sporting the correct factory part numbers make this a TRUE "Numbers Matching" GTO Judge. PHS and original build sheet are included.  Now, what further sets this beautiful Judge apart from most is the extensive list of factory options not often seen on a GTO Judge with a manual transmission.  This GTO was ordered with the following PHS-verified options:

*Muncie 4-Speed Transmission (ORIGINAL)

* Safe-T-Track Rear (ORIGINAL)

*Power Windows

*Power Driver Seat

*Air Conditioning (Extremely rare option with a 4-Speed!)

*Formula Steering Wheel

*AM/FM Radio

*8-Track Tape Player

*Power Disc Brakes

*Power Steering

*Soft-Ray Glass (All Windows)

*Remote Driver Mirror

*Rallye Gauge Cluster w/in-dash Tachometer

*Light Group

*G70-14 Firestone Wide Ovals (Correct current replicas on car)

*Floor Mat Package front/rear

*Ride/Handling Package

You will not find another 1970 GTO Judge with such an extensive options package sporting a 4-speed, this is one of only 137 that were built with manual trans and A/C. Factor in the other options and you have one very rare and desirable GTO Judge. The only variations from originality are that the air conditioning has been upgraded to modern standards, and the color. This car was born with Grenada Gold paint. I have always wanted a WT-7 1970 GTO Judge, and they are the rarest of all 1970 models. The decision was made to style the car after the "Promo Car" that was used in advertising in late 1969, so the Polar White exterior color was applied along with the black spoiler. Speaking of the spoiler, it is believed to be the original and is arrow-straight. After an exhaustive search, the correct NOS Judge stripes and JUDGE decals were located and applied. (Most restored Judges have repop stripes and decals) and the result is an absolutely stunning car.

The comprehensive frame-off restoration was done by one of the top shops in the United States, Apex Autosports in Grafton, Wisconsin. Their work is nationally known, they have done several high-end cars for the Welborn museum and have been featured in many magazines and TV shows. The car has original GM sheet metal, there are no reproduction body parts on the car. The level of quality in terms of paint, bodywork and panel alignment is apparent as soon as you first set your eyes on it. The interior still has much of the original fabric, the headliner, which has some wear, was put back in the car, the original back seat, and much of the original front upholstery is present, the front seats were redone in sections and you can't tell where. The power driver seat works flawlessly.  The car drives beautifully, the 4-speed shifts like butter. The car has hardly been driven since it was finished, you are getting a top-notch investment grade car. You can't drive more than a block before someone gives you a thumbs-up, it really is a beautiful sight to behold. Shown by appointment only.
