The Porsche 911 has always been among the world's most desirable
cars, keeping it near the top of the automotive food chain for 50+
years. This clean 2001 Carrera 2 lives up to this heritage nicely.
With its sports car performance and dynamic looks, this Porsche
does not disappoint.
Based on the 996 platform, this car has a clean accident-free history throughout its 79k miles. It looks fantastic with its Speed Yellow exterior, factory 18" turbo-look wheels, and tinted windows. And of course there is the sunroof along with the retractable rear spoiler. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact, 225/40ZR18 front and 265/35ZR18 rear.
The drivetrain consists of the stock 3.4L flat-6 motor rated at 300hp, mated to the 5-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with steering wheel controls. This is a well-balanced setup with good road manners, but above 4,000 rpm it takes on a whole new feel (and sound). The car has very responsive steering and outstanding brakes as well, making it a real pleasure to drive.
The black leather interior continues the sports car theme with bucket seats that hold you nicely when cornering. The dash and controls are well laid out. All gauges and warning lights work properly, along with the automatic climate control, on-board computer, and factory stereo.
There aren't many cars like the Porsche 911. It can do it all and do it well, though with an original list price of almost $80,000 you'd expect as much. For a fraction of this original price, you can own and experience a beautiful example of one of the world's greatest sports cars.
