Vehicle Description
For sale in our Dallas showroom is a 1977 VW Super Beetle
Cabriolet. The Volkswagen Beetle was nearing the end of its U.S.
run in 1977, after having been sold here for nearly 30 years,
although it would continue to be sold in other countries. This
Beetle is in excellent condition, with a relatively freshly rebuilt
1600cc H4, you will be sure to have a ton of miles to go. Just turn
the key and listen to the bug come to life. The power from the
engine is shifted to a manual 4 speed transmission. The interior is
white vinyl and shows very well. With subtle accents of black only
making the white look that much cleaner. You can make it a daily
driver with its ridiculous gas mileage or take it to the car shows
and hang out with some cool people. Either way you are sure to get
a ton of looks in this classic, yet flashy well put together Super
Beetle. The Volkswagen Beetle - officially the Volkswagen Type 1,
informally in Germany the Kfer (German, "beetle") and in parts of
the English-speaking world the Bug - is a two-door, four passenger,
rear-engine economy car manufactured and marketed by German
automaker Volkswagen from 1938 until 2003. The need for this kind
of car, and its functional objectives, was formulated by the leader
of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, who wanted a cheap, simple car to be
mass-produced for his country's new road network. Hitler contracted
Ferdinand Porsche in 1934 to design and build it. Porsche and his
team took until 1938 to finalize the design. The influence on
Porsche's design of other contemporary cars, such as the Tatra V570
and the work of Josef Ganz remains a subject of dispute. The result
was one of the first rear-engine cars since the Brass Era. With
21,529,464 produced, the Beetle is the longest-running and
most-manufactured car of a single platform ever made. This car
includes; AM/FM Radio with CD player, manual Convertible Top, vinyl
interior, Seat belts and radial tires. To view the car in greater
