Although it is considered one of the most desired cars among
Cadillac collectors today, the audacious 1959 model was a little
too flamboyant for some buyers during the day.� Its wild charisma
wasn't for everyone, and may have turned many longtime Cadillac
enthusiasts away from showrooms.� The answer in 1960 was a milder
and more subdued finned design to woe traditional buyers back.� It
could not have been a more timely decision, and the 1960 model now
rivals several Cadillac designs as one of the most popular today!�
Advertised as "Elegance in Motion", the softer design lines of the
1960 model was a way to put Cadillac back ahead of its competition.
We are extremely excited to offer this 1960 Cadillac Series 62
Convertible that has been in the same, careful hands of the last
owner for the last 23 years! It was cosmetically restored to stock
specifications including its repainted factory Ebony Black (color
code 10) exterior and Black interior (21) with white convertible
top (original code 2- black)!� It comes powered by its original,
numbers matching 390ci-4bbl V8 engine that produces a factory rated
325hp and Hydra-Matic transmission. Options include factory air
conditioning, signal-seeking AM radio with rear seat speaker &
power antenna, 6-way power driver seat, Guide-Matic automatic
headlight dimmer, power windows & convertible top, factory standard
power steering & brakes, passenger visor vanity mirror, windshield
washer with 3-speed wiper, heat/defrost, dual outside rearview
mirrors, rear fender skirts, front & rear seatbelts, rubber
interior floor mats, standard soft boot cover, full wheel disc
covers and bias 4-ply Dunlop wide whitewall tires, all original E-Z
Eye tinted glass including windshield, power trunk release & pull
down, and more! This wonderful car appears to have been absolutely
pampered by its loving former owners and shows only 72,600 miles on
the odometer today. The exterior paint is exceptional to the eye
along with the new convertible top!� The fresh interior upholstery
is all color correct and shows no visual wear or any use since
completion.� Upon arrival to the St Louis Car Museum, we elected to
professionally rebuild the entire transmission, replace the engine
oil & filter, completely rebuild the factory air conditioning
system to put it into full working order, replace both rear exhaust
mufflers, and give this Cadillac a complete ignition tune up. �This
elective service was only due to the car being used very
infrequently this past couple of years and now starts, runs, and
drives with total ease!� The generator had already been rebuilt,
all new radiator hose/clamps, power steering lines, brake booster,
and all drive belts were replaced just prior to our purchase.� We
