Vehicle Description
1961 Mercedes Benz 190SL Roadster - All Original!
On a beautiful summer day June 24th, 1961 to be exact Dr. Irving H.
Wagman took delivery of his brand new 1961 Mercedes Benz. Ordered
with the optional hard top, soft top, third passenger side seat for
the rear and radio. He ordered the stunning color combination of
Light Grey DB158 on Red leather with Grey hard top DB190.
Dr. Wagman only drove the car for 2 years and sold it to one of his
colleagues a Dr. F. S. Brown Jr. on July 26th 1963 with only 15,825
miles.
European Collectibles, Inc. then purchased the car from Dr. Brown
and was given all the records going back to day one. It also
includes a hand written log kept by Dr. Brown. Both the previous
owners serviced and looked after this gem as if it was the only car
they would ever own.
This 1961 Mercedes is 100% original paint with a few very small
touch ups. If you look down the side there is not a dent in sight!
It also has 100% original interior, rubber, chrome and driveline.
The rubber mats in the trunk and floor mats are exceptional.
Originally sold new in California with its original dealer delivery
prep sheet and remained in Cali all of its life. This is truly a
preservation class car that needs to be shown. Only 90,770 fully
documented miles from new with its original tool kit which is a
rarity. Complete with all books, owner's manuals, service records
and hand written log.
Dr. Brown who had barely driven the car since 2005. European
