This is a fairly high vin # production car (#7148 manufactured in
Nov-81) which means it the best version, with all the
modifications/ improvements. Not one of these black interior, gas
flap hood style DeLoreans.
It has been very well taken care of its entire life, and when I
bought the car 3 years ago, it still had the original factory
GoodYear NCT tires. The current tires are 2 years old, with good
thread life left.
It's the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. The only
modification made is a new Blaupunkt Bluetooth stereo with hands
free calling and sub woofers. I still have the
original working factory Craig stereo if you want to restore
the car back to 100% original.
All instruments work, mechanically it's 100%, AC blows ice cold
(R134a converted). The fuel system is a weak point on these cars,
so it has been upgraded with a new pump assembly and works
flawlessly.
No dings, no scratches.
Only known issue is that the dimmer relay for the instrument
cluster is worn out and doesn't work very well.
It's a great car, that gets lots of attention everywhere you'll
go.
Also included in the purchase is numerous memorabilia such as
t-shirts, books, a complete set of factory service manuals
etc...
