GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1982 Chevrolet El Camino
for purchase. In what is technically known as a "coupe utility",
the car combined with a truck flatbed is crowd pleaser today. These
cars with flatbeds were born out of a demand for periodic flatbed
handiness while not having to drive a work truck every day of the
week. The El Camino lives on as a unique collector car that has a
powerful engine and is very fun to drive.
The El Camino offered for sale here has been highly customized and
thousands of dollars were invested into it. It is powered by a 1973
5.7 350v8 with an Edelbrock carburetor and intake, MSD ignition,
Hedman "elite" coated headers and Dynomax super turbo mufflers with
2.5 inch dual exhaust with H-pipe. It is mated to a 200R4 automatic
transmission with HD 2400 stall lock up converter and HD fluid with
a Lokar 4 speed floor shifter. The car also has a newer alternator,
electric cooling fan, Dave's small body HEI distributor tuned to
tire size and 3:42 gears. The chassis consists of upper and lower
front A-arms by Global West, Hotchkins front springs, G-force
double hump cross member, 7.5 inch Eaton positraction with 3:42
gears. The chassis was painted with rust-inhibiter. The car has
upgraded front disc brakes from Power Master. It rides on 17x8
Eagle Alloy wheels with BF Goodrich tires.
The interior has new carpet and a new headliner, LeCarra steering
wheel, new window sweeps and billet window cranks. The car has
Vintage Air conditioning, tilt steering column out of a 1984 Hurst
Cutlass, Alpine CD Player with MB Quartz components and Alpine
6x9's. The car also has a bed mat and a pop up tonneau bed cover.
Along with the sale of this car comes a large file of receipts.
This car does have salvage title, however it remains in solid
condition.
