Vehicle Description
One-owner. 59k Miles. 4-Speed. What more could you want in a second
gen Camaro? Oh, how about a Z28 finished in factory Black (19) with
original Red (Carmine 74R) interior? Bam. This thing is awesome. It
also comes with all the original sale documentation. On May 29,
1979, this Z28 was purchased new from Meyers Brothers Chevrolet
Sales, Inc. of New Era, Michigan. The original owner, from Shelby,
Michigan, paid $7,180 cash out the door. Since then, the car has
been driven sporadically and has been unmolested since new. The
odometer reading, 59,090 is the true and actual mileage. This is
the definition of timepiece.
This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 2-Door Sport Coupe is powered by the
original, numbers matching 350ci/175hp 4bbl V8 mated to a 4-Speed
Manual Gearbox with rear-wheel drive and limited slip differential.
The car has been routinely maintained over the years and has always
been stored indoors. It starts on command, runs strong, and
drives/shifts well. It also has power steering, power windows,
original inflatable spare tire, jack, . The only variations from
stock are the retro Camaro radio, trunk-mounted power antenna, and
the Hammond rear-window louvers. All paint, decals, and interior
surfaces are original and untouched.
Being a one-owner with low miles and the desirable 4-Speed plus
Black/Red color combo, this is a true collector's car. It is not
concours, which Hagerty values at $33,900, but it is a clean and
highly-original example. The asking price here reflects that. See
over 100 photos and walk-around video of it running on our main
website. Call or e-mail if interested. Thank you for looking.
