for purchase. Volkswagen (which literally translates to "people's
car") rose from the ashes of WWII to be mass produced as a car
anyone could afford. It was designed to be as simple as possible
mechanically for fewer needed repairs and ease of maintenance. The
Beetle went on to be the most produced vehicle of all time while
being an unmistakable icon. These cars became popular all over the
world and still hold dear for many as a classic collectible.
This Slug Bug came to Michigan 2 years ago after a long stay in
Utah. It is powered by its 4 cylinder engine and 4-speed manual
transmission. The Car shows well for its age overall. It does need
a new top, but these cars are generally driven with the top down
anyways. The owner just put new tires on it and went through the
fuel system and installed new fuel lines and a new fuel pump. It
rides on chrome wheels with chrome hubcaps. It has a Sony tape
player along with Jensen door speakers. The car runs well and is a
blast to drive.
