Vehicle Description
One of the most popular mass-produced automobiles of all time, this
is a fun and eye-catching example of the 1928 Model A convertible
roadster. It has been recently repainted, as close to the original
color as possible, in pea green with yellow wheels and black
fiberglass fenders. It even boasts a rumble seat and a trunk on the
rack in the back for taking family trips.
The car still has its original 4 cylinder water cooled L-head
engine that produces some 40 horses and a claimed top speed of 65
miles per hour. The transmission is a three speed sliding gear
manual unsynchronized unit. The Model A has 4-wheel mechanical drum
brakes.
It rides on 21-inch wire wheels with new tires. The dual spares are
side mounted on the fenders.
The current owner describes this Model A as a fun driving
experience and a dependable car.
The Model A represents an excellent opportunity to join the car
hobby and to delight a family. Also, there is an active owners
group in the area to further enhance the ownership experience.
