Vehicle Description
This 1947 MG TC is a quality, older restoration that is being offered for sale at NO RESERVE. Restored in the early 1980s, this MG had been sitting on a block in storage since the early 1990s prior to coming to the Owls Head Transportation Museum. To add to the uniqueness of the vehicle, the European license plate is included as part of the sale, and the registration documents support its history. Re-commissioning of this MG took place throughout the course of the past winter by Owls Head volunteers as an educational project in the volunteer workshop. During this process, all of the fluids were changed, a new brake master cylinder was installed, new rear wheel cylinders were installed, the carburetors were rebuilt, new ignition points installed, and the gas tank was flushed. The paint and interior are still very presentable considering the age of the restoration and the length of storage. During re-commissioning, this MG was run and consistently evaluated during revival, inspection and sorting out processes. However, this classic MG has had very little road time for further fine-tuning.
