In the middle 90's Chrysler engineers where given free rein in
designing a retro hot rod vehicle for sale. Part of the challenge
was to construct the car utilizing lightweight aluminum as much as
possible. Many of the techniques used in building the Prowler are
just now coming into use in the industry. The result was the
Plymouth Prowler, introduced in 1997. The 1999 model we have
offered here is one of 3,921 produced that year. Showing only
15,806 miles and a Box A title, it is as close to a new car as you
could come. The body is flawless as is the Prowler Purple Metallic
paint. The black convertible top is likewise in near new condition.
All of the chrome, trim and glass are in as new condition and the
exterior is complemented by the factory polished alloy wheels
wearing Goodyear Eagle Run Flat tires (225/45R17 F and P295/40R/20
R). Exterior options include Halogen Headlamps, front metal nose
guard, rear deck protect, and mud flaps front and rear. Inside is a
Agate (Charcoal) leather bucket seat interior that shows virtually
no signs of wear. Options include Speed sensitive steering wheel,
power windows, keyless entry, rear window defroster, air
conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette audio system, 6 disc CD changer, and
cruise control. The aluminum suspension includes 4 wheel power disc
brakes and rack and pinion steering. In 1999 power was increased to
a new aluminum block 3.5 liter, 24 valve V6 producing 253 HP. It is
backed by a 4 speed automatic transmission. This car has always
been stored in a climate controlled garage and is immaculate in all
