In 1963 Ford re-entered racing in a big way and examples like the
one we have offered here ruled in NASCAR as well as at the drag
strips. This original Q-Code 1963 � Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback coupe
has a laser straight body with body work by Harold Wiesner. The
beautiful body was painted in white by Scott Cawley. The exterior
features many race oriented options including light weight
fiberglass bumpers, fiberglass hood with tear drop bubble scoop and
Eagle Torque Thrust style wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra radial
tires. All glass and trim are in excellent condition. Inside is a
tan vinyl bench seat interior with upholstery by Dave Cook. The
seats, headliner and carpets are in excellent condition. Door
panels and dash are in good condition but do show some signs of
wear. Options include the factory AM push button radio, factory
clock, auxiliary tach, gauges, and Hurst four speed floor shifter.
Under the hood is a very clean engine bay that houses the original
numbers matching Q-Code fully built 427 CI / 410 HP with engine
work by Dean Turk and Bill Cox. The freshly rebuilt engine has been
bored .030, has Forge True pistons, Carillo rods, 1967 Ford forged
LeMans crank, Crower cam, Dove high rise intake topped with a Dave
Braswell Holley Performer dual feed carburetor, Aviad 9 quart oil
pan, chamfered and polished oil passages and an aluminum radiator.
Backing all of this is a Schaffer HD clutch, the OE Borg Warner
T-10 four speed manual transmission and a Ford 9" rear axle. This
car cackles like a Pro Stocker and runs extremely hard. For more
