1966 Ford Mustang Convertible
For a long time the poster car for American Muscle has been the classic 60's Mustangs. These cars were very popular when new and continue to be popular over 50 years later. This very nice 66 is a super clean original low mileage car. It was owned by a single family in Colorado since new until 5-6 years ago when the current owner purchased it. It is coated in nice Red paint and based on how nice the finish is we suspect it has been repainted previously. This is paired with a Black convertible top that is in excellent shape. The body is very straight and there is no evidence of previous wrecks or damage. It is totally rust free and the floors are solid. All of the bright work on the car from the chrome bumpers to the stainless trim has a very nice shine with no issues. The convertible model features some additional trim around the top which looks great and has all the snaps for the top boot. The car rides on a set of the original wheels with the correct Red Ford Mustang centers. They are wrapped in Firestone tires.
Powering the car is the original stock 289 V8 motor that runs great with no problems. It doesn't smoke, starts right up and runs smoothly. Under the hood the car has that original factory appearance with the valve covers and air cleaner coated in Ford Blue. Paired with the engine is a C4 automatic transmission that moves through the gears with ease. The suspension/drivetrain are all original and are mechanically sound with multiple components being rebuilt.
The interior of the car is done in Black with dual bucket seats up front. All of the vinyl upholstery and carpet is in great condition. Everything has that stock look with the original door handles, window cranks and dash. The factory gauge pod sits in front of the driver and all the gauges are working. The original AM radio works as does everything else on this classic. It is a factory air conditioning car and features the under dash unit. Between the seats you will find the T-Handle automatic shifter. If you're in the market for a nice Mustang this is definitely one to check out. It is clear the car has been very well cared for since new.
