Vehicle Description
The official designation for the Porsche 911 model was the 996. It
was produced from mid-year 1998 through 2004. With the 996 we saw
the end of an era with a new water-cooled engine. Technically, it
was a major change according to most. The major reason for the
change were stringent emissions and noise regulations,
environmental concerns and a higher expectation for performance and
refinement. Other major changes were the brand new platform having
a sleeker body with a more raked windshield and re-designed
interior.
This particular 996 is finished in the attractive Arena Red
exterior with Tan interior, features a tiptronic transmission and
in excellent condition in and out. The best part about the car is
that the troublesome IMS bearing issue has been resolved, having
been fully serviced by Lake Side Automotive. The repair alone cost
nearly $5000, not to mention a brand new set of Michelin Pilots
have been installed as has a brand new convertible top. The car has
a spotlessly clean carfax showing proper maintenance from new.
Receipts for the IMS, tires and top are available as is the carfax.
Original owners manual, both sets of keys and fitted car cover will
accompany the car. Everything is in great working order including
ice cold A/C and new stereo system. This car is ready to go.
