R20 Silverado. The Suburban is the longest continual nameplate in
production in the world starting with the 1935 model year and
continuing to this day. Over all the years, the suburban was
presented in many forms, but at the root of each model was utility.
This particular example is a 2wd with the upscale Silverado trim
and features a 454ci 7.4L V8 matted to an automatic 4 speed HD
transmission. It is rated for 230 horsepower with 385lbs torque. It
has a 3:42 gearing in the rear end. It is equipped with a towing
package with a Tekonsha brake controller. It has a heavy duty
radiator, oil cooler, transmission cooler, auxiliary cooling fan,
40 gallon fuel capacity, heavy duty front stabilizer, front disc
brake, tilt steering wheel, 13" rear drum brakes, air conditioning,
power windows, power door locks, class 3 hitch, 7 pin electric
connector, rear window tint.
The truck was restored 2,000 miles ago and there were lots of parts
replaced consisting of all 4 shocks, 4 tires, EGR valve and
control, spark plugs & wires, exhaust manifold gaskets, intake
manifold gaskets, oil pressure sending unit, gas filter, v belts,
radiator hoses, PCV valve, crossover doughnut gaskets, distributor,
cap, rotor, thermostat, exhaust oxygen sensors, mufflers, exhaust
pipes and hanger, front and rear bumpers are new, and the dash pad
is new.
This is a beautiful old Suburban and is ready to go for the next
