Vehicle Description
1969 Pontiac Firebird
This is a complete frame-off restoration that cost in excess of
$125,000.00. We have receipts and even a CD showing the build to go
with the car.
It is powered by a modern Firebird LS1 427ci fuel injected crate
engine tied to a THM 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and stock
rear-end. The engine is fully dressed complete with Firebird valve
covers and includes aluminum heads, forged pistons roller cam and a
forged crank just to name a few. "Old School" looks with a
completely modern drivetrain for reliability. There are less than
4,000 miles on the car since the restoration was completed.
The exterior is nearly flawless and has been finished to utmost
show quality. The car was taken down to bare steel, repaired where
needed and then painstakingly prepped/painted/finished in Matador
Red. All of the chrome is perfect, all emblems new or absolutely
refurbished and the undercarriage just as it was (or better) when
it rolled off the showroom floor. The car has a brand new
convertible top that has never seen rain, just like the rest of the
car. It sits on its original frame with stock suspension that is
all brand new including sway bars both front and rear. The dual
exhaust flowing from the engine produces just the perfect note that
you would expect from a car with this much power.
The car sits on like new BF Goodrich High Performance tires
(225/60/15 rear and 225/60/15 front) and PMD mag wheels that look
just like new. Stopping power comes from power discs in the front
and drums in the back. No expense was spared in the completion of
this frame off work.
The interior has been finished just like the exterior with new
correct bucket seats in the front and an immaculate bench across
the back. All carpeting is fitted with sound deadening underneath
to quiet road and exhaust noise. The headliner/door skins are
perfect, as is the dash and console with faux wood grain. It almost
throws you to look at them because rarely do you see either of them
flawless such as this car. The dash remains original but a complete
set of digital, but analog looking, gauges have been fitted in
perfectly. All of the buttons and knobs have been replaced or
refurbished. It has a power top and windows all which function just
as they would have new, if not better. The wood grain steering
wheel, Vintage Air and Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo system
only complete the driving experience. There is even a garage door
opener built into the sun visor where it can't be seen!
This is one of the finest examples of a 1969 Firebird restomods in
the country, keeping its original look and style with a modern
drivetrain. Offered at 1/3 of the recent build cost for a quick
sale at $44,900.00!
This car is located and being represented for a collector in the
Seattle, Washington area.
