Vehicle Description
It's not just that this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has a
terrific classic hardtop appearance. As you dig deeper, you'll see
a stellar interior, a performance stroker motor, and an extra gear
to really take advantage of it all. So keep reading, because as you
find out about more details, this coupe only gets better.
This coupe has the perfect mix of preservation and restoration (and
has the receipts to back it up, too.) The factory-correct shade of
Blue Mist looks amazing when it the sunshine hits it. That's what
happens when someone makes a solid investment in updating the paint
with a modern clearcoat. And because this one has the cleaner lines
of a Super Sport model, you really get to see the great creases of
the iconic sheetmetal. The reason these Chevelles have remained so
popular is because they represent the best of the era. It's a clean
design free from the clutter. So instead of tailfins, these had a
sleek profile that accented its sportiness with the pillarless
hardtop profile and rear fenders that had Coke bottle-inspired
gentle curves. Adding to this subtitle performance design are the
iconic Cragar SS wheels.
Beautiful bucket seats complete with center console is exactly what
you want when having proper '65 SS car. And getting the look right
on this one also meant an investment in new carpeting, door panels,
and headliner. So an interior this nice makes it easy to share your
classic coupe with family and friends. And it even comes with great
upgrades like a Lecarra sports steering wheel, a trio of auxiliary
gauges, and an AM/FM radio with a modern digital tuner that's
designed to blend seamless with this factory interior. Plus, have
you counted the extra gear on the stick shift yet?
This Chevelle was born at the beginning of the small block's
dominance, and so it's great to life the hood and see such an
impressive powerplant. That shining motor is a 350 cubic inch V8
that was built only about a year ago at a Tampa speed shop. They
stroked the V8 to 383ci total, and also added go-fast goodies like
an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Summit
heads, HEI ignition, aluminum radiator, and Hooker long tube
headers. That last feature not only adds power, but it also
contributes to the thunderous roar from the H-pipe dual exhaust.
When you have a serious V8 like this, it's great to have a Borg
Warner five-speed that gives an extra gear for total control. And
more than just all-out speed, this Malibu has great any time
driving features like power steering and front disc brakes.
Complete with the original warranty card, owner's manual, build
receipts, and restoration photos, this is truly a cut-above classic
that has been built with all the upgrades you would have done
yourself. So to have it in the right vintage hardtop that's ready
to run today is an impressive find. But you're not the only one who
likes a good value, so hurry up and call today!
