Vehicle Description
This pony car is a very different animal. No one will ever mistake
this 1968 Ford Mustang for anything stock. For the few who don't
see the paint, the wheels, or any of the other new aggressive
touches, the 500+hp big block V8 will teach them a lesson to take
notice.
Everyone loves a blacked-out bad boy. A recent application of a
clearcoat black gives the coupe the kind of modern luster that the
factory never could in the '60s. It results in a dark and glossy
appearance that seems to absorb the sunlight. You know the bodywork
has to be exceptional to have this kind of presence. It's that kind
of ferocious attitude that looks perfect with the massive hood
scoop. Plus, this one carries great upgrades like the
Halibrand-style wheels, deep side scoops, integrated rear spoiler,
and dual ghost stripes that run from grille to gas cap. It really
looks like it could be Eleanor's meaner, darker cousin!
Inside the dark black interior completes the full midnight
appearance. You'll love how the more modern leather bucket seats
have full bolstering to keep you truly comfortable. And while this
is deep and dark on the door panels, carpeting, and headliner, some
of your favorite elements will be the bright spots. This includes
the T-bar shifter, and just ahead of that is the Alpine AM/FM/CD
radio that is your gateway to a thumpin' subwoofer stereo system.
The grippy Grant sports steering wheel has plenty of bright wood
and trim. Beyond that is a full set of AutoMeter Phantom gauges
that look cool in bright white. And more importantly, these give a
precise readout about what's going on in this performance
machine.
When you open the hood, all of the red accents within the dark
engine bay let you know this machine is out for blood. It's a Ford
Racing 460 cubic-inch big block crate motor, and this Super Cobra
Jet was recently installed less than 900 miles ago. It includes all
the right equipment for power and durability, including aluminum
heads, AED Performance four-barrel carburetor, MSD Ignition, Ford
Motorsport oil pan, March Pulleys and Absolute Radiator
w/transmission cooler. The full package is rated to possibly as
much as 550 hp, but all people really need to do is hear the
thunderous roar of three-inch Magnaflow dual exhaust to know that
you've got street-eating power. The monster motor is mated to a
fortified C4 three-speed automatic transmission to reliably deliver
power to the ground. Plus, the thick sway bar up front, upgraded
shocks in the rear, Wilwood front disc brakes, and the exceptional
grip of Pirelli tires make this an unbeatable Mustang you'll want
to drive all the time.
We didn't even have space to tell you about how this is a two owner
car with a nice history. So give us a call, and we'll go over all
this and the build receipts. Then again, you might want to ask if
it's still here... after all, this kind of huge power at such a
