Vehicle Description
The King of the Car Show. See over 150 detailed photos and running
video on our website. Offered here is one of the most iconic
classic cars, professionally transformed into a Pro-Street monster.
This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible has been a staple at local
car shows for the past decade. Our client originally purchased the
car in 1989, started the restoration/build in 2000 and completed it
in 2007. This Chevy Convertible is in excellent condition from head
to toe, and is finished in flawless two-tone Sherwood Green and
India Ivory paint over a matching interior with white convertible
top. All the floors, rear quarters, and door skins were
professionally refinished and the car has no rust or patches. No
expense was spared and all receipts have been kept.
Even more impressive than its looks is the beast under the hood.
The car is powered by a professionally balanced and blueprinted
supercharged 454ci/729hp big block V8 bored 60 over (460).
Noteworthy equipment include a Turbo 400 Transmission, Weiand 8-71
Supercharger, Griffin Aluminum Radiator, Power Steering, Disc
Brakes, 12-Bolt Posi Rear End, 3:08 gears, Moser Axles, Coilover
Shocks, 4-Link Rear Suspension, B&M Floor Shifter, 10-point
roll bar, Holley Annihilator Ignition System, AutoGauge Full
Accessory Gauges, and Aux Input stereo system. The car also has a
all power windows and power convertible top. Everything works as it
should and the horsepower has been verified on the Dyno. It fires
on command and sounds amazing. Be sure to watch the video.
You simply cannot build this car for the price offered here. It has
been assembled with the upmost, meticulous attention to detail. All
surfaces are in excellent condition. Since finished in 2007, just
3500 miles have been recorded, mainly trips to local car shows and
hauling home trophies. The Shop of Grandville, MI did all the paint
and bodywork with a grand total of $39,300 in receipts. Pole Barn
Engines of Wayland, MI built and installed the motor for around
$10k. In 2007, just before the economy crashed, this car was
appraised for $92,500. A stock 1956 Bel Air Convertible is worth
about the same. So, with tens of thousands invested, this car is a
steal at the price offered here. Call or e-mail for more
information, or to make reasonable offer. Thank you for
looking.
