The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1977 MG MGB for sale. In
structure the MGB was an innovative, modern design in 1962,
utilizing a monocoque structure instead of the traditional
body-on-frame construction used on both the MGA and MG T-types and
the MGB's. However, components such as brakes and suspension were
developments of the earlier 1955 MGA with the B-Series engine
having its origins in 1947. The lightweight design reduced
manufacturing costs while adding to overall vehicle strength.
Wind-up windows were standard, and a comfortable driver's
compartment offered plenty of legroom. A parcel shelf was fitted
behind the seats. This MGB has money and an owners love poured into
maintaining a great running and driving MG. Almost $12,000 in
recent receipts come with the car. The list is too long to list,
but here are the highlights. Newly rebuilt engine with all new
internals, camshaft, bearings, cam plate, double row cam and crank
sprockets, Hepolite semi-floating piston set, connecting rod
bearings, clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder, new carpet,
clutch master cylinder, Thermostat, throttle cable, all engine and
transmission seals, water pump, and many more mechanicals which are
associated with the engine build. The shocks have been replaced and
rear leaf springs. The wire wheels with knock off spinners set this
MGB apart from the rest. This MGB has been refreshed by the owner
so you can drive this British motorcar legend with confidence and
enjoyment. Options include: Am/Fm radio, CD player, manual
