Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette is a lifelong California car that is
powered by a 383ci V8 paired to a 5-speed manual. This was
purchased from the original owner, who special ordered it from
Clippinger Chevrolet in Covina, California. Repainted in its
original LeMans Blue in 1983, the car received a Top Flight award
from the National Corvette Restoration Society in 1990. The stroker
crate engine was installed in 2003, and other modifications include
the 5 speed transmission, a cowl hood, carbon fiber rear leaf
spring, and an aluminum radiator. This C3 is now offered with its
original factory engine, the original order sheet and window
sticker, a substantial file of records, and a clean California
title. The car was repainted in its original LeMans Blue in 1983.
The original hood has been replaced with a cowl-induction item to
help clear the taller 383. Note the car still has its original
California Black plates. A Lecarrera steering wheel has been added,
and the aftermarket stereo offers bluetooth connectivity. Some wear
is noted on the driver's seat, and the door weatherstripping has
aged. The original engine was removed in 2003 and replaced with a
stroker crate motor 383ci (V8) is backed by a 5-speed manual
transmission. The cooling system has also been upgraded with an
aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The original engine is
included, though the original transmission is not. The chassis has
been upgraded with a carbon fiber leaf spring conversion. The
original documentation including window sticker is included and
shows the original configuration, which included a 4-speed manual
transmission and Positraction rear end with 3.36 gears. The
original MSRP was $5,447.95. Again extensive records are included
