TUDOR FAT ATTACK STREET RODDER This a quality total restoration and
detailed build that combines pure hot rod attitude with blistering
performance, sleek styling, and excellent comfort and drivability.
This 1946 Ford Tudor is a great looking Street Rodder in Volkswagen
Yellow. It was found in a field in 1998 in Upland California and
recovered by Lupe and Johnny\'s Body Shop of Upland. Lupe gave the
car to his son, Eddie, to work on. He started pounding out the
fenders, hood, trunk lid and body. Eddie ran out of money after
buying a GM Crate 454 Motor. In 2000, the current owner, who is
High School buddy of Lupe\'s from Chafee HS in Upland first saw the
body sitting on a dolly. No frame, no engine, no glass, no wheels,
no fenders. Just the body, in primer stage. Next to it was the
crate 454, and alongside it was the frame and the freshly powder
coated parts. The car was purchased and taken to Walton Fabrication
for a complete engine hook up, and it was the beginning of this
photo-documented, frame off restoration that was completed in 2001.
Extensive preparation, paintwork, and powder-coating have rendered
it a true piece of artwork on wheels. Receipts from the build total
47,000 dollars, plus the next 16 years of maintenance history. Far
too many detailsto list here. No rust or issues are known. Body
tweaks include the custom headlight bezels and mirrors. Turn signal
lamps were removed and operate in the custom headlight. Other
excellent features on this vehicle include the afore-mentioned 454
Crate Motor, fortified with an Edelbrock intake manifold and
4-barrel carburetor, with spent gases routed through a dual exhaust
system. \r\n\r\nCapably handling the power are a Turbo-Hdyramatic
350 automatic transmission and 9-inch Ford rear end. The engine is
nicely accessorized with billet components, and custom skid plates
protect the engine and oil pan while cruising. Underpinnings are
nicely updated with a double-wishbone front suspension, front disc
brakes, and precise rack-and-pinion steering gear. The custom
interior features Grey tweed upholstery and seats up to six, a
Billet Budnik steering wheel, billet accessories, Air Conditioning,
Power Front Windows, and a custom in-dash instrument panel. A
key-fob remote opens the door and a retro- style stereo with CD
changer occupies the trunk compartment. Comes with two key-fobs.
Wrapped up in American racing wheels mounting BF Goodrich tires,
this awesome \'46 Ford coupe proudly continues the Fat Attack while
making a unique statement all of its own. A tastefully completed
Classic done with meticulous care and passion. \r\n\r\nThis
investment will turn heads as the proud owner drives by with
his/her head held high. Bid with confidence as this collectible is
guaranteed to bring many hours of joy!!/p
