EXTERIOR/INTERIOR

1957 Chevy Townsman Wagon. The paint is Pearl White, and the condition is excellent. There are no stone chips to front facing panels. The all steel body was finished to a smooth ripple free finish. The door gaps have been reduced from 1957 stock with body work to create narrow door gaps as in more current modern vehicles. A lot of time was taken to ensure the car was prepared correctly through all paint stages to ensure quality and proper adhesion of all paint layers. When out cruising this car definitely turns heads when seen . The car looks beautiful in its two-stage Pearl White Paint . The side mouldings are the original stainless steel but need some rolling and polish to reach perfection. The front and rear bumper chrome and trim pieces have been re-plated chrome and are excellent. The grill is unmarked and all the Chevy badge work looks great!

The interior is finished in a custom grey fabric and it is very clean with a tight unmarked headliner and the interior floor and doors are covered with Dynamat sound proofing. Both front bucket seats are controlled 6-way power. Steering column is custom with tilt action and fitted with leather custom Budnick wheel. The dash is complete with full compliment of AutoMeter gauges. The front seat belts are grey 3 point shoulder lap belts and grey rear seat has lap belts. A new wiring harness was installed on the rebuild. Electric door locks installed on front doors for convince. All door handles and window cranks were replaced in completing the rebuild process plus to many other small detailed items to mention. The battery was mounted behind the right rear wheel and a battery cut-off switch frame mounted to enable complete shutdown of the car when parked.

DRIVE TRAIN

The car is powered by a ZZ502 Premium Chevy crate engine with 502HP.The 502 has a Milodon high capacity oil pan and high capacity oil pump with pick up for positive oiling at all times. The engine is fed by a electric pump mounted on the frame and is wired so the pump is only turned on when the engine is cranked and the oil pressure switch closes suppling power. The lines from the external fuel filter and fuel press gauge are braided steel to the carb. The heater hoses are chrome as is the radiator hoses . The alternator, radiator expansion tank and power steering accumulator are chromed. The shifting of the Muncie 4-speed is by a Hurst shifter through an American Power Train Hyra Max clutch with the fluid reservoir cylinder mounted on the Master brake cylinder .The exhaust is Sanderson ceramic coated headers coupled to the 3” exhaust system. The engine is cooled by a PRC aluminum radiator with dual 11” electric fans controlled by a radiator thermostat.

car rides on an Art Morrison Independent Front Suspension with rack and pinion steering ,Welwood disk brakes, Aldan coil over shocks. The ride is very responsive and the front end handles the power and weight very smoothly.

The power is transmitted to a Currie Enterprises Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.70 gears and 31 spline axels and Detroit Lockers. Pro-4 Link with 26” track bars provide positive grip. This car cruises on Budnick rims with P235/60R15 tires on the front and 275/60R15 on the rear. This car is not a hanger queen, it is meant to be driven, enjoyed and shown. It’s a head-turner when you see it and hear it coming. It stands out!
