Vehicle Description
Jim Wangers was known as the godfather of the GTO. All the special
touches came from Jim's input on this radical build. This
masterpiece started out with a rust-free LeMans body and began its
transformation with the Resto-Mod specialist from Big 3
Performance. It has custom metalwork throughout, carbon-fiber hood,
one-off front air dam, one-off HRE/Jim Wangers' SE wheels, Roadster
Shop chassis with 4-link and Eibach suspension and AFCO double
adjustable suspension. Stopping is provided by 4-wheel Wilwood disc
brakes with custom engraved callouts. The 505/680hp cast-iron
big-block engine was built by Butler Performance, and has 664
ft/lbs of torque paired up to TR6060 6-speed manual transmission
and 9" rear with 3.73 Detroit Truetrac rear end and Moser axles.
This special Pontiac has been road-tested and tuned to perfection
to Jim Wangers' meticulous standards.
