Vehicle Description
A one-owner car, this 1965 Shelby Daytona re-creation was purchased
from well-known Factory Five Racing in Massachusetts by a gentleman
from Rhode Island. He designed and facilitated the entire build.
The bodylines are gorgeous and the British Racing Green paint is
show-quality. Unlike many other Shelby Daytonas, this car doesn't
have racing stripes or any decals which looks very rich. Some
exterior features include front windshield wipers, plastic side
windows and rear window, Cobra mirror, Cobra gas cap and new 17"
Shelby GT40 wheels with new Sumitomo HTR 352 tires. The beautiful
custom tan interior complements the exterior perfectly. Some
interior features include a roll cage, leather-wrapped dash and
seats, Simpson seatbelts, Auto Meter gauges, Cobra wood steering
wheel, door-pull handles, B&M Quick Silver shifter and custom
switches. The engine compartment is nicely detailed. It has an
aluminum firewall and Painless wiring. The engine is a built 351ci
Windsor V8. Engine performance upgrades include a Crane camshaft
and aluminum rockers, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Weiand intake,
Holley high-performance fuel pump, Cobra valve covers, Edelbrock
water pump and MSD ignition. This engine runs and sounds great out
the custom headers with side pipes. Cooled by a Griffin aluminum
radiator with electric fan, the engine is coupled to a Ford C6
automatic transmission and Thunderbird rear end. The undercarriage
is nicely detailed and features a custom tubular Factory Five
Racing frame. It also has rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel disc
brakes, aluminum fuel tank and rear-mounted battery. The front
suspension has been upgraded with tubular control arms and
coilovers. The rear suspension has been upgraded with independent
suspension and coilovers. This car has recently been completely
serviced and detailed which is fully documented by an invoice. From
the MS Classic Cars Collection. **TITLED AS A 1965 COBRA 65**
