1970 Volkswagen Convertible
If you have never had the opportunity to drive a Beetle go out and
find one because these cars are so fun to cruise around in. The
classic Volkswagen has a lot going for it, they are fun to drive,
easy to work on and parts are fairly inexpensive compared to other
vehicles. This 1970 Volkswagen Convertible is a super nice car that
has completely restored. Most of the components are brand new and
if something wasn't replaced it was because it was in perfect
condition. The body is in excellent shape with no rust issues or
damage. It is coated in White which was freshly repainted. The
Black convertible top is brand new and raises/lowers extremely
easy. These had manual tops but it is very simple to put down and
is easily done by 1 person. The chrome and brightwork all have a
great shine with no pitting or problems. The bumpers, trim and
badges are all brand new. The glass is in great shape as well with
a new rear window. The weatherstripping has been completely redone
with all new seals and rubber throughout. The wheels have been
freshly powder coated and are fitted with original VW hubcaps.
In back you will find the 1600 cc motor that has been entirely
rebuilt. It starts up every time and runs smoothly. It is paired
with a manual transmission that shifts well with no problems. The
brakes, suspension, etc have all been gone through and everything
is mechanically sound. The car truly needs nothing but to be driven
and enjoyed.
The interior of the car is like new and has been all restored as
well. The original style upholstery looks great and it has dual
bucket seats up front. The upholstery work, headliner and carpet
were all replaced. Even the seat foam is brand new! The dashes on
these cars were always very simple with a single speedometer with
gas gauge. The dash has that original look but just like the rest
has been replaced with new. Since being completed it has been very
well cared for and everything still looks like it was just
completed. The trunk up front is nicely carpeted and houses a
spare.
Whether you are looking for a fun weekend car or daily driver with
some style then this VW is a perfect fit! If you always wanted a
vintage VW but didn't have a chance to buy one back in the day this
is the car for you. It really is like getting a new 1970
