Vehicle Description
This stunning matching-numbers 1970 440 U-code 'Cuda is one of just
618 ever made that paired the formidable 440ci high-performance
engine, 4-barrel with the A-727 TorqueFlite transmission. This 1970
'Cuda is in the Galen Govier Registry and has also been personally
decoded by Galen Govier. According to Govier this 'Cuda is #34 of
46 produced at the Los Angeles Plant, #8 of 13 with factory air
conditioning and #1 of 1 with the options on the car known to
exist. This original restoration is matching numbers from the carb
to the axle. This is a real U-code matching-numbers car with all
body codes present, including the original fender tag, cowl stamp,
radiator support stamp, engine stamp, transmission stamp and door
stamp. This 'Cuda's production date was February 26, 1970, built in
Los Angeles, CA, and boasts its original color scheme of Bright
Blue Metallic on the exterior and medium blue on the interior. The
dash is in excellent condition, complete with restored original
gauges. It has all-original dated Mopar glass, including the
windshield. The interior is complete with console, bucket seats,
3-speed automatic and rare factory air conditioning. The car sports
the original dual-exhaust design, and has power front disc brakes,
power steering and sits atop period-correct new Goodyear Polyglas
tires/15" Rallye wheels. It is equipped with a factory-installed
Dana 60 Sure-Grip rear end with 3:54 gears. This is a one-owner car
prior to this restoration. It is a high-quality muscle car that is
extremely rare and powerful. A striking 1970 'Cuda.
