Vehicle Description
This true 442 W30 has been professionally documented by Oldsmobile
authenticator Stephen Minore as a real matching-numbers machine.
The car comes with a complete Rocket report and a GM Historical
documentation letter. The high-quality restoration has been
refinished in its original special-order Rally Red single-stage
paint, equipped with the exclusive W30 painted stripe package. This
matching-numbers 455/370hp W30 engine is complete with rare F-code
high-compression cylinder heads, special cam, unique Rochester
Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, W- and
Z-code exhaust manifolds and Force Air induction system. The car
retains the original matching-numbers M21 Muncie 4-speed
transmission and anti-spin limited-slip rear end with 3.42:1
performance axle ratio. Heavily optioned, this 442 W30 comes
equipped with AM deluxe push-button radio, chrome window sill
moldings, iconic Hurst shifter, dual sport mirrors, Strato-bucket
seats with console, sport steering wheel, working clock, working
map light rearview mirror and windshield and Soft Ray tinted
windows. The interior has been restored to outstanding condition,
returning it to full splendor. Other features include front disc
brakes, power steering, rear-deck spoiler, lighting package,
aluminum differential cover and SS-II wheels. Of the 14,709
Oldsmobile Holiday coupes produced in 1970, 2,574 had the W30
option and 1,032 had the 4-speed manual transmission. This example
is beautifully restored with both matching-numbers engine and
drivetrain.
