Vehicle Description
In 2010, World Champion Drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. introduced a new
generation of Mustang to the world with the Mustang RTR. The RTR is
known for its turn-key Ford Mustangs available in Ford dealerships
all over the world, high-quality parts and wild functional custom
builds such as the 1969 RTR-X and Ken Block's all-wheel-drive 1965
Hoonicorn RTR. The hand-built one-of-one RTR-C was built as a halo
car to launch the world-famous game-changing RTR brand. 100% of the
exterior sheet metal of the body was removed and was replaced with
first-rate carbon fiber, dropping 500 pounds from the weight of the
factory 2010 Ford Mustang. These high-quality carbon-fiber parts
were pulled off the same molds of Vaughn's globally famous
championship-winning Drift Mustang and the entire RTR-C was built
in the same race shop where his race cars are meticulously
engineered, built and maintained. Even the 20" HRE wheel hoops are
made of carbon fiber, a $25,000 cost. The carbon fiber was laid
with a high level of detail inspired by the Pagani Zonda, in which
the carbon weave across the entire car lines up across the seams.
The entire suspension system is entirely adjustable and has been
developed for good ride quality on the street and with a few
adjustments is ready to attack the track. With over 550hp and the
lightweight carbon-fiber body, the RTR-C is one of the most fun,
nimble Mustangs ever built. A true one-of-one machine built by
Ford's Mustang front man Vaughn Gittin Jr., this is powered by a
4.6-liter 3-valve overhead-cam V8 engine with 5-speed manual
transmission. The powertrain includes Ford Racing 550hp
supercharger pack, Ford Racing 3.73 axle package and differential
cover and Ford Racing Torsen limited-slip differential. Other
features include K&N air filter and oil filter, 1-3/4" American
Racing headers with 3" X-pipe, Bosch Platinum Plus spark plugs and
Ford Racing FR500s mufflers. The chassis includes Ford Racing front
and rear anti-roll bars, Autosport Dynamics rear control arms,
Autosport Dynamics panhard link, 6-piston front brake kit and
4-piston rear brake kit. It rides on staggered HRE CF40
carbon-fiber wheels. RTR carbon-fiber exterior elements include
roof and body panels, rear splitter, rear spoiler, grille and
rocker splitters. The custom interior includes Sparco RTR-C-edition
seats, harness and harness bar, leather upholstered rear seat
delete and RTR-C backlit door sill plates.
