that include the highly desirable Custom Cab and rebuilt 239/130hp
V8 engine and the 4-speed manual floor-shift transmission. The
truck is a beautiful example of a rare factory-optioned '50s stake
bed - a true survivor and a striking daily driver or promotional
truck. The V8 badge on the grille indicates this pickup has Ford's
overhead-valve Y-block V8 newly introduced in 1953-4. That engine
was dubbed the "Power King," which marked the final departure of
the old Flathead V8.
