Vehicle Description
This stunning, rare 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible has 75,000
well-documented original miles (mileage not indicated on the
title). The car has had a recent repaint in its original Columbia
Blue Metallic with matching restored metallic blue-leather seats.
Rare options for this first-year model of the suicide-door body
style include bucket seats with locking console, working cruise
control and headlight dimmer, along with usual factory automatic
and power options. The original factory 430ci V8 engine was
completely rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago, when it also received
a new Holley carburetor. (The original carburetor is included.) The
hydraulic roof system was completely rebuilt and all suspension
professionally returned to factory specs at the same time. Although
the car is mostly original, three years ago, a removable Kenwood
stereo/navigation system with back-up camera was installed and
integrated into the console so that it looks original.
Documentation includes original owner's manual, catalog, welcome
letter from Ford, nameplate on dashboard and original
matching-leather key wallet. Published in calendars and magazines
numerous times, including a multiple page spread in the book "Cars
of the Sensational '60s." Calendars, magazines, numerous original
repair manuals, California Black Plates, key chains and other
documentation are all included. This piece of automotive history is
a real pleasure to drive.
