Vehicle Description
Over five years went into this painstaking frame-off restoration.
It features a 396ci 4-bolt main engine from a 1970 Chevelle
professionally assembled with ARP bolts. It has COMP cams 280
Magnum cam with all-matching valve train. The 1969 427/390hp heads
were professionally gone through and set up for the cam. With
10.4:1 compression, it runs great on premium pump gas. It's
equipped with an MSD box, distributor and plug wires. The 1-3/4"
headers going through Pypes X-pipe exhaust and MagnaFlow mufflers
sounds amazing. The M21 4-speed manual transmission shifts
smoothly. Original 12-bolt rear with 3:42 gears has all-new
bearings and axles. With CPP C5 front brakes with tall spindles and
all-new drums in back, the car stops extremely well with a
dual-diaphragm brake booster. It has all-black Energy Suspension
bushings and body mounts, and a powder-coated, quick-ratio steering
box yields a driver's feel. It rides on Ridler wheels wrapped in
Continental Contact DW tires. The body was stripped and painted
with high-quality paint and clear, all rust was addressed and it
has new one-piece trunk pan. The bottom of the floor was painted
with gloss black POR-15. Frame was sandblasted and painted with
satin-black POR-15, which provides a really nice contrast to the
floor. The paint was wet-sanded and polished with all 3M products.
The glass is original (except the windshield), and the trim shines
brightly. The interior is all new down to the cushions and features
FatMat sound insulation on the floor and ceiling. It's fitted with
an updated American Autowire harness. The interior also has a
custom Autosound radio that plays through a smartphone with Pioneer
kick-panel speakers, insulated custom package tray speakers, and
professionally done headliner and sail panels.
