Vehicle Description
This Chevelle SS was originally special-ordered as a demonstrator
car for O'Rielly Motor Co. in Tucson, AZ. Typically these
demonstrator cars were reserved for executives at the dealership
and were used to show the public what GM could offer. This car
still retains its original matching-numbers L34 396/350hp big-block
engine. It is loaded with factory options, such as an automatic
transmission with console shifter, bucket seats, power disc brakes,
power steering, deluxe steering wheel, rear-mounted antenna and SS
trim. This car was originally ordered with air conditioning, but at
some point the unit was removed from the car. It features a
gorgeous repaint in its original color of Matador Red and solid
all-original floors as expected from an Arizona car. The interior
of the car has been completely redone, and all the weatherstripping
and seals have been replaced. It rides on upgraded 16" American
Torq Thrust wheels with radial wide-track tires for better road
handling. This genuine, documented SS big-block Chevelle has a very
cool history.
