There's a hierarchy when it comes to 1965 Ford Mustang bodies, and
the 2+2 is king. This was inaugural year for the highly sought
after fastback, so we really get excited to see one that has all
the right features like a larger 302 V8, four-speed stick, and the
desirable Pony interior.
Crisp lines, great detailing, and sporty sheetmetal make this one
timeless. Bright red is always a great choice on a Mustang for
highlighting the fastback's dramatic long hood/short deck design.
Plus, these always had the best profiles with the race-ready rear
window slats. Workmanship is excellent, and you'll probably find
that no panel was overlooked when this one was being refinished. It
even has some nice upgrades with the GT-style exhaust coming
through the rear valance. Plus, those iconic torque thrust style
alloys are staggered 15/17-inches front/rear to give this fastback
and extra aggressive stance.

until later years, but this first-year fastback couldn't resist the
upgrade to go with its speedy image. This V8 looks right at home
with its proper air topper and decal. Beneath that, features like
the Holley-built Motorcraft four-barrel carburetor, fined valve
covers, Cobra intake, and long tube headers add extra performance
to an already impressive package. Best of all, you are in complete
control of this enhanced V8 and the dual exhaust's booming
soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Not only
have there been upgrades for speed, but also it has been upgraded
for control. It now includes front disc brakes and the grip of
modern ZR-rated tires for enhanced all-around performance.
