This car features what I believe to be the original 351 Cleveland
with functional Ram Air and C-6 automatic transmission. For your
convenience; this car also features power steering, power front
disc brakes, AM radio and factory air conditioning that all work
like they should. Also in the dash are a working speedometer, fuel
gauge, oil, alternator and water temp gauge.
The body is in excellent shape. The paint is not original, but has
been professionally repainted in the correct colors, and looks
beautiful. There are a few very small paint chips which have been
touched up as well as some small wrinkles in the vinyl stripes.
These are very small, and hardly noticeable. The interior is
original including having an AM radio that still works! The bucket
seats are the original vinyl style and are in very good shape. The
carpet is newer and in excellent shape. The rims and tires are
perfect.
The odometer shows approximately 58,800 miles, and I believe that
to be correct based on the condition of the interior. The
following work was recently done:
Carburetor rebuild/tune
Replace Points/condenser with electronic ignition
Rear end seal / fluids replaced
2 New mufflers
The engine compartment is excellent. Everything looks to be either
new or reconditioned, and there is no rust. The block and
associated engine parts look great. According the the previous
owner, the heads have hardened valve seats and it has a COMP Cams
cam in it. The anti-roll bar has been upgraded with one that is
thicker than stock and it has KYB shocks on it.
The frame is solid. There are some spots where the metal has been
sandblasted and painted, but overall it is extremely solid and
rust-free. Overall the car is very solid with many new parts in the
steering, exhaust, linkages, shocks, etc.
This is an above-average driver quality muscle car. It may not be
a white-glove, Concours de Elegance show winner, but it is very
clean classic that can be driven daily if needed.
