This exceptional V8 Volante is reported to have been released by
the Aston Martin factory to AML of North America Inc. on June 6,
1984. The Volante was supplied to its first and long term owner
through Palm Beach Motor Cars Ltd. Inc., Palm Beach, Florida on
October 26, 1984. The bill of sale from AML of North America shows
Ms. Shirley �Gigi' Cowell as the first owner and only owner through
2009 when sadly Ms. Cowell passed away.
During Ms. Cowell's ownership, this V8 Volante was serviced at Palm
Beach Motorcars when garaged in Florida and Autosport Designs, Inc.
when kept at her New York residence and when shown at the AMOC Lime
Rock Concours on a couple of occasions. Ms. Cowell is said to have
cherished the Volante over the years and serviced it regardless of
use and its low mileage to always have it in proper condition
throughout.
Upon Ms. Cowell's passing, the V8 Volante remained in her estate
for the following five years, until 2014 when it was acquired by
its second owner and current custodian. It is currently in the
ownership a New York collector and the Aston has recently been
treated to a $25,000 service by the local Aston Martin franchise
dealer.
This V8 Volante is regarded as one of the most exceptional, low
mileage and original V8 Volante's in existence today. It is
finished in its original and attractive special ordered (and
uncommon) Portland Blue with Burgundy Connolly leather interior,
Burgundy Wilton Wool carpets and Navy Blue Everflex convertible
top. There are approximately 3,800 miles on the odometer that the
owner believes are original. Additional equipment includes an
automatic transmission, two owners from new, Blaupunkt
AM/FM/casstte, air conditioning, interior wood trims, four-wheel
disc brakes, factory alloy wheels and much more that is exceptional
in every way.
