1969 Ford Mustang Coupe Custom completed in 2017 under
1,000 miles Engine: 351W engine. Hypereutectic pistons with full
floating pins. I Beam steel connecting rods. Cylinder heads are
Edelbrock proformer RPM, match ported to an Edelbrock Air Gap
intake manifold. Camshaft is a roller cam with @570 lift. Street
avenger 770 carb. Headers are JBA ceramic coated with a full custom
exhaust with X pipe. Every nut and bolt is an ARP. Over 500
horsepower at the flywheel with pump gas Transmission and Rear end:
5 speed Tremec TKO 2 with high performance clutch. Custom ford 9
inch shortened with custom built 4 link with pan-hard
bar.
4 wheel disc brakes by Wilwood. Fox 2.0 fully adjustable coil over
shocks. Auburn posi with 3:50 gear ratio and 31 spline custom
axles. Suspension: Front suspension is PST front and lower control
arms with lower/stiffer spring combination. Polygraphite bushings
and oversized sway bar. Upper control arms are lowered to the
Shelby location. Full frame rails (not subframe connectors) were
built to make the car more rigid. Rear suspension is a 4 link with
a PanHard bar. Heim joints and poly bushings make the suspension
fully adjustable.
Additional details: Car was built with the best components
available. Paint color is Dodge Viper blue and a customer silver
blend. Car was stripped to bare metal where minimal rust was found
as it is an original California car. Drip rail and door handles
were shaved, A California Special style spoiler was added. (not
originally available of 69 coupe). Interior Beard low back seats,
and custom Autometer gauge bezel finish out the interior. Storage
bins are now located where the rear seat was. Wheels and Tires:
American racing Hopster wheel. 17x8 with BFG 225/65/17 KDW tires in
the front. 17x11 with BFG 315/35/17 KDW tires in the rear. #
