This gorgeous luxury sedan is a 2013 Audi A7 Prestige Edition.
The A7 and its sleek Sportback styling were introduced in 2010.
Sporty and spacious, this platform gives you a car for all
occasions.
The bodylines really make this design stand out from the mass of
Mercedes and BMW types. This 44k-mile example is the
top-of-the-line Prestige model which includes the S line exterior.
It is finished in Phantom Black Pearl which seems the perfect color
for this car. The retractable spoiler is a neat touch too. The
optional 20" wheels have been blacked out wheels to complement the
body. Also note the selectively blacked out front grille bars to
tighten up the appearance.
The drivetrain uses Audi's fantastic 3.0L supercharged V6, voted
one of Ward's 10 Best Engines for 2013. This is a fantastic
powerplant with gobs of low-end torque, accelerating the spacious
car from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds but still delivering 28 mpg on the
highway. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic with normal and
paddle shift modes. And of course you also get Audi's famous
Quattro all-wheel-drive.
The interior is my favorite part of the car. It is comfortable and
spacious, while the Sportback styling provides a generous cargo
area in the rear. Audi's woodgrain materials look much nicer than
the shiny plastic stuff that others use. As part of the Prestige
package, this car has 4-zone air conditioning, front and rear
heated seats, ventilated front seats, and Audi's MMI Navigation
with retractable color screen that also serves as the driver
information system and rearview monitor. Also the Bose audio system
with Bluetooth and subwoofer sounds excellent.
There are so many more features on this A7! LED headlights, cold
weather package, side assist, sport suspension, steering wheel
controls, automatic tailgate, rain and light sensors, HomeLink,
split folding rear seat, etc. And the driver information system
allows you to configure the entire driving experience to your
preferences.
This Audi includes its original window sticker with an MSRP of
$71,765. It is a wonderful car to drive with a splendid mix of
performance, luxury, and practicality. It all makes for a great and
affordable way to enter this outstanding automotive segment.
