Vehicle Description
The Ford motor company introduced the Thunderbird in 1955 and
continued over the course of eleven-model generations through 2005.
It created a market niche that was brand new to the automotive
scene and eventually was marketed and known as the personal luxury
car.
The Thunderbird was assembled in Wixom, Michigan and sold new from
Brand Motors Inc. in Los Angeles California. The car comes with the
original gate release sheet from Ford Motor Company when it was
released to Brand Motors. It was originally Sandshell Beige but at
the time of restoration it was given a beautiful coat of glossy
red. The T-Bird has a white power convertible top.
The 1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible offered here is the recipient
of a tedious full restoration. This bird has always resided in warm
climates. It has lived in Texas, Florida and North Carolina. In
1995 it received its makeover. The 390 v8 was rebuilt by Sun Engine
in Marietta Georgia in 1995. The automatic transmission shifts as
it should. It was given a chrome kit and a sports roadster package.
The car has power steering, power brakes, power windows, power
driver's seat and air conditioning. The car comes with an
impressive file full of receipts from throughout the years.
