Vehicle Description
A deep blue exterior, loaded leather interior, a numbers-matching
L82 V8, and an affordable price means you're going to have to act
quickly if you want this restored 1979 Chevrolet Corvette in your
garage.
Most late-70s Corvettes you see keep close to the '78 pace car's
mute silver color scheme, but this one goes in a very different
direction, and we love it. The bold Midnight Blue you see here is
close to its original Dark Blue Metallic color, but you'll really
notice the difference when you take this one out in the sunlight.
The deep ocean of luster you get really highlights the investment
that came during the restoration of this 'Vette. Paint this great
is the exact reason why you want a later C3. Its cleaner design
with the chrome-free front and rear add extra curves under the
clearcoat shine. But as a true classic American, this coupe cannot
help but have some brightwork. It makes those optional aluminum
wheels true standouts.
Inside is a cool contrast to the dark exterior. The tan leather
seats weigh less than previous year C3s, and they fold flush with
the rear trunk area for better cargo functionality. Like any good
Corvette of the era, this one comes loaded with power windows,
cruise control, tilt/telescope wheel, electric rear defogger, and
provisions for air conditioning. For the driver, you get a
comfortable leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and just
ahead are the essential gauges. In the center is a full auxiliary
readout package, heat/defrost controls, gearstick, and power window
controls. And while the window tinting keeps your brighter side
hidden, anytime you want to show the world the great tan inside,
you can go cruising around with the T-tops off.
The engine is the optional upgraded (and numbers-matching) L82 350
cubic-inch V8. This higher compression motor was a must-have for
the performance fans in 1979 because it offered 15% more horsepower
than the standard Corvette V8. Just like the rest of the car, the
engine bay is highly detailed and very original - it's even still
running a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor! You should have no
worries taking this to any of the events no matter how far away.
After all, Corvettes are good for speed, but this one is a nice car
for the long trips too. That's thanks to features like the TH350
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, fully
independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes.
This one comes complete with a huge paperwork file that includes
the build receipts, maintenance records, owner's manual, and a
large restoration photo book so you can re-live this car's journey
back to this stellar state. Don't miss your opportunity at a great
looking classic at quite an affordable price. Call now!!
