1971 Mach 1 351 Ram Air. If you’re looking for a "Trailer Queen" keep looking, and bring a bigger wallet. Mine is an older but thorough restoration that still presents very well, And is a beautiful "Driver" I purchased the car 12 years ago out of west Virginia. The was born a Mach 1 2bbl but now has an Edelbrock 4bbl with the Ram air added with genuine Ford parts. 351 Cleveland , FMX automatic, front and rear spoilers and rear window louvres. The louvers are an aftermarket add on and I was never impressed by the quality. The pursuit of a vibration led to a rear end rebuild, U joints, tourque converter, and new crank shaft. But the vibration is gone. Brakes, tires, power brake booster, front brake lines. all this was done less than 3000 miles ago. During the original restoration the engine was rebuilt, complete paint with a non stock yellow that really "pops". They added Mallory electronic ignition, Pioneer stereo and headers. The car has a nice exhaust note but is not loud.The odometer now shows 39000. My original intentions were to return the car to bone stock. But I grew to appreciate what it was. And decided that if it's not broke.. don’t fix it. Now it's just not being used enough, and other projects means it's time to let her go ..If your looking for filling a shelf with car show trophys , this might not be your car. If you do'nt like people honking and waving at you , or starting conversations, and asking to take a pic every time you stop for gas...this might not be your car.." Ole Yeller" has been a blast...
