1973 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow with hardtop and LHD comes with
lustrous Brewster Green paint on its classic contoured exterior,
and is accented by well preserved, shiny chrome and dual gold leaf
midline pinstripes which contrast elegantly with the rich dark
green of the exterior and tastefully enhance the hubcaps in
concentric rings. This is a 2 owner car, always garaged, carefully
driven, and routinely maintained and serviced as befits a
hand-assembled creation of such quality and distinction. The
original owner of 40+ years used it as his executive company car,
and as such all routine servicing was meticulously attended to.
This Silver Shadow is no garage queen - it has been driven as it
was designed and intended to be for 152,000 miles, though the
odometer shows only 52,000 miles. That's an average of 3,455 gentle
miles per year for its 44 years of distinguished service to date.
The 6.75-liter V8 runs well, and the sublime ride is enhanced by
the fully functional power windows, power door locks, power
steering, power front seats, 4-wheel disc brakes with power assist,
2-speed wipers with intermittent and washer functions, cruise
control, hydraulic actuated telescoping antenna and automatic
leveling system, and impact absorbing bumpers. It has been fitted
with the correct 205 VR 15 radial blackwall tires. The body is
straight and accident free. Upgrades include leather covered
steering wheel, remote door locks, electronic ignition, retrofit of
A/C from R12 to R134a refrigerant, and replacement of the center
console 8-track with AM/FM stereo and CD. Recent mechanical work
includes GM Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission rebuild,
radiator repair and coolant flush, hydraulic system flush, rebuild
of brake accumulators, replacement of front suspension cross
beams/ball joints/seals/boots, alignment of front end, oil/filter
change, and new spare tire (receipts available). The plush interior
is as strikingly well maintained as the exterior. The original
Connolly leather hide upholstery is finished in a sophisticated tan
and is in very good condition with no cracks or tears. The majestic
burl walnut wood trim, dashboard, and console are original and have
been refinished to their original perfection. The original wool
headliner is in very good condition, as are the wool carpets and
the rear seat foot rests. All interior features and functions are
fully operational. The A/C is cold and the heat is hot. The clock
works well, but does stop occasionally. The radio has been replaced
with a stainless steel storage cubby hole. The original owner's
manual, jack, and tool kit are still in place.The features include
